  • Makes 9 biscuits

  • 1 1/2 C All Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2 C Cake Flour
  • 1/2 C Butter (cold)
  • 2 T Sugar
  • 1 T Salt
  • 1/2 T Baking Soda
  • 2 T Baking Powder
  • 1 C Buttermilk

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in the butter until it is in small pea size pieces, add 1 cup of the Adams Reserve cheddar and stir gently. Pour the buttermilk in the bowl and stir with a spoon to mix, just until the dough looks like a shaggy mass. Turn out on a floured cutting board and flatten to about 1 thick, cut into desired shape, place on a baking sheet, top with the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese and bake at 375F for about 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
